A great little bass, with classic Italian styling, good for Arco work, jazz, or general gigging. Compact and easy to transport, but with a big sound, fitted with an adjustable bridge, a very versatile bass at a very modest price. The sides, back, and head are all of matching English sycamore from the same tree, the front is of medium grain Alpine spruce, the bass is covered with a red-brown oil varnish.The head is topped off with a fine set of Baker machines on brass plates. Fitted with Thomastik Belcanto strings. Length of back 43in. string stop 41in.

Five string double bass in the Brescian style. - In Stock

Five string double bass in the Brescian style , the flat back is of English poplar, the sides are of almost plain maple, while the head and neck are well figured maple. The front is of open grain sitka spruce, the front and back are double purfled. Length of back 44.5 ins, string stop 41.5 ins. A chance to get the last Bryant five string bass at a very attractive one off price. Fitted with top quality Baker model machines, and adjustable bridge, a quality bass equally good for jazz or orchestral playing.

John Lott model no. 91 - Sold

This is a ¾ size orchestral instrument closely modeled on a bass by John Lott, the king of English double bass making. A flat back bass with the characteristic high back angle. A well proportioned instrument with a body length of 113cm (44.5") and a string stop of 105cm (41.4") A very playable bass. This bass has a back, sides and head of well figured maple, the front is of medium grain Alpine spruce. The instrument is covered with golden brown oil varnish. This bass is now sold.
